A JUNKTION FOR MOMS
Outside the lines of motherhood
0 Comments
Hello beautiful moms,
Welcome to the 1st of October! Just in Time for Libra and Spooky season. (Heyy Libra mamas, I see Ya'll.) I just LOVE spooky season. Even more so now that I have a little one to share the joys of Autum with. The change of the leaves, the slight breeze in the air, & all the buzz about Hallows Eve just puts me in a happy place. But did you know that there is more than just Halloween in October? Just on the first day alone there is National Homemade Cookies Day, National Hair Day, International Day of Older Persons, National Fire Pup Day, International Coffee Day, & World Vegetarian Day. Now that I think about it, a nice cup of coffee, a dark chocolate chip cookie, and a vegetarian breakfast burrito doesn't sound half bad right now. Let me know in the comments what you love most about October and what fall activities you look forward to doing this month. Good Afternoon Mamas,
Hope everyone is having a terrific Thursday. I just wanted to stop by and give you guys the scoop on what's been going on this week. Today is a day to celebrate in the Joany community as we are going to be introducing a new product this coming December. Our scrunchies are all handmade in house and are great, stylish accessory that is always easy to wear and remove - both for going out and for sleeping. Not only that but silk is a hypoallergenic material, which makes it an obvious choice for women with dry or sensitive skin as well as those who are prone to allergies. As we get everything prepared for launch, we encourage you to join our mailing list for exclusive deals and promotions. Good evening, ladies,
As you all know the store Joany Junktion has been undergoing a few changes the past couple months. I do want to share a couple of updates just to keep everyone in the loop. Our new logo has been chosen and has been posted to Instagram. Also as of October 31st, 2022, we will be re-opening under the name of Joany's. I can't wait to share this amazing journey with you all as we get closer to launch day. You can always check here or Instagram for updates on our progress. Big and Exciting news! We are excited to announce that as of July 14th 2022, we will be undergoing a complete rebranding as part of the ongoing evolution of our company’s brand. We’re releasing an updated brand identity. We have been constantly growing and evolving since we soft launched back in 2021, and we felt it is time for a change. After careful consideration, we will refresh our logo to reflect who we are today and to symbolize our future, we will also choose a new color scheme that reflects a more modern mom look. As you are all our valuable customers, this step’s major idea is to strengthen our growth and commitments by helping our new and current customers identify with our brand more effectively. We hope that with this new transition we can better accomplish our mission to deliver and bring widespread growth and build a better future for online shopping for all moms. The changes will be completed November 22nd, 2022, on every platform. We would like to take some time and thank you for your time with us. We wouldn’t have made it this far without your continuous support to celebrate and liberate the diversity of motherhood. Follow us on Instagram @Jonay_Junktion to get a behind-the-scenes look at our makeover in the process and what it means for us & our customers' experience. If you have any suggestions or questions, please contact us at [email protected].
Thanking You. Sincerely, Owner Indy Joany Destination: Italy
If your one for travel, festivals, & plenty of architecture then Italy is the place to go. Sight seeing wouldn't be a problem with all the legendary cities being so close together. Good thing Italy has a great train network that will allow you to experience them all in one trip. The villages there a agriculture works of art. Just imagine laying by the fairy tail like lakes or gazing upon the snowy mountains. If lakes isn't your scene then it also has some of Europe's best beaches that are also good for your skin. If thats not enought to get you going then stop by some of the incredible ruins, temples, and parks scatted around this beautiful city. Even ghost towns are beautiful. Lets not forget about the food. I would love an all you can eat buffet filled with Fettuccine Alfredo, Lasagna, Linguini, Risotto and so much more. The choices you make will help determine the person you become and what you will accomplish. Your life is your creation. You have most of the things you need to shape it and make it extraordinary. It’s not something that just happens to you overnight. If you think your life is out of your control, it’s because you’ve chosen to relinquish the controls.
I want to wish everyone a beautiful and Happy Mothers day.
An astonishing bit of news prompts you to look at a close relationship in a whole new light. It seems as though this matter concerns a sibling, neighbour or cousin. Don't be surprised if you are forced to alter your work routine in order to accommodate this person's needs. Fortunately, this enforced change may put you in the path of an exciting new love interest or a stimulating creative project. All's well that ends well!
Okay, I've seen this debate everywhere from Facebook to twitter and ever Instagram. Me being a "bigger" person I am quite offended with some of things that are being said. I get that people think that that being skinny is the "norm" but what about people that work out four days a week and eat healthy all their life and are still "big"? Us as woman need to learn that everyone is born different and that different is okay. It can be hard to feel good about yourself when all of the models in magazines are small and airbrushed is true. However, if you ever see any of those "stars without make-up" posts, you would know that even the famous celebrities that everyone holds so high are just normal looking people without tons of make-up and airbrushing. Even still...it can get to you. I'm not saying that skinny or slim people should be put down but neither should the rest of the world. I would like to think that everyone looks good in their own way. It just the way they carry themselves. Like the two pictures I have below. They are both beautiful woman BUT society would probably say that the woman on the right would need to cover up because her body is unacceptable. eWhen I look at these pictures, I see two beautiful women. But the woman on the right, the woman who bigger people would say is anorexic or unhealthy, is not sickly. In fact, if you look at her stomach, you won’t see ribs poking out. You’ll see a toned abdomen. It’s true that she’s thin and that she fits the size 2 image of woman that is unfairly represented in media as the only desirable figure. But to say that the woman on the right is less attractive simply to advance another body type? That’s not right either. I want us as a whole no matter what body type we have to help each other feel confident in our own skin. That doesn't mean starve yourself or hate your body because it doesn't look like the one on the right but that also doesn't mean to be unhealthy and promote "being thick is better" and look down on people who are a size two. We all ask the fatal question, what should be attractive? How about healthy bodies. Whether they come in the form of a size 2 or a size 16, a well loved and cared for physique is what we as women of a whole should be striving for. By all means, challenge the idea that obtaining runway model size isn’t the only way to be beautiful. Demand that the full range of woman be represented in film, T.V. shows, and in print. But tearing someone else down to demonstrate your point does a disservice to all women. It’s time to celebrate our differences. To realize that there is no one correct image of beauty. I've said this before and I will continue to say this WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL.
